FAQs

Due to COVID-19, we have made adjustments to all three of our businesses for the health and safety of our customers and staff. Please visit our COVID-19 Updates page for more information about how we are taking precautions during this time.

The Marketplace FAQs:

  1. Do you hold bourbons for customers? 

    No we do not hold bourbons, we sell on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis when it goes on the shelf.

  2. What do you have in stock? 

    We add stock weekly, but customers need to come in to see what we have because it gets updated frequently. You can follow us on Facebook for additional updates.

  3. Do you ship?

    Sadly, no, we cannot ship items. Kentucky has guidelines that prohibit liquor stores from shipping alcohol.

  4. Do you have lotteries on special releases? 

    No, we do not.  FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED when it goes on the shelf.

The Speakeasy faqs:

  1. Do you serve only bourbon? 

    We are proud to be a brown liquor bar, serving bourbon as our mainstay.  However, we do also offer a limited selection of beer, wine and most recently have introduced 2 new GIN cocktails.

  2. What are the Speakeasy’s hours?

    Our typical hours are: Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-9pm and Friday-Saturday, 2pm-midnight. However, due to COVID-19, our hours are changing! Follow us on Facebook for live updates.

  3. Do you serve food?

    No, we do not currently serve food, but we do offer free bar snacks (peanuts, pretzels, etc.) *We are limiting garnishes and snacks for the time being related to the COVID-19 guidelines.

The Bed and Breakfast faqs:

  1. What time can I check-in/out? 

    Check in “officially “is from 3:00-8:00 PM. However, we ask for an active phone number for exchange on date of arrival for a “NO CONTACT FLEXIBLE” check in request, if you will be unable to check in during 3:00-8:00 PM or check on early room readiness.  We require advance notification so arrangements so that a “flexible check in” can be provided. We will be happy to check you in early if your room is available. Check-out is 11: 00 am.

  2. Can I rent the WHOLE HOUSE? 

    Whole house rentals for weddings and reunions are a common occurrence in B&B’s. Unfortunately as Innkeepers and owners we do live at the property; however, arrangements to rent the home could still be negotiated. If you are interested in this type of arrangement, speak directly with us. Please be aware you will probably pay more than just the room rental fees as you will be using more than just the bedrooms.  

  3. What can I expect to be served for Breakfast?

    Guests will choose DAILY from one of the following Breakfast Options that will need to be done PRIOR to or day of arrival. Our options include:

    1. Breakfast served in your private suite (must be scheduled between hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.).  

    2. Breakfast in the B&B’s Dining Room (must be scheduled between hours of 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.).  

    3. BARDSTOWN BUCKS (a $10.00 certificate per per per person/room/night to be used at Bardstown’s many fine offerings including everything from local eateries, to shopping, to self indulgence.  No breakfast? No problem! Bardstown Bucks can be used at many and multiple places in Bardstown, not just for breakfast. *SEE Bardstown Buck LIST.

    4. Will I have to share a bathroom? 

      No. If you stay with The Blind Pig Bourbon Bed & Breakfast, each of the 3 guest suites feature a private in-room bath with shower, tub or both. When researching a bed and breakfast to visit, always inquire about private baths. You should be aware that “private bath” does not always mean “in-room”. At some properties, your bathroom may be across or down the hall.

    5. Do I need to wear a facemask/covering?  

      People may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask. We do follow Kentucky STATE, LOCAL (Lincoln Trail District Health Department), Kentucky Healthy at Work guidelines - Minimum/Bar requirements, CDC and WHO guidelines that apply to hotels, resorts and lodges/ CDC guidance for Businesses and Employers. We have plenty of outdoor space (covered and uncovered patio room where guests can social distance themselves if they choose. Please note that these guidelines may change and be updated over time; however, we will ensure to keep you updated on our in-house procedures.
